My name is Melanie Falick.  I am the editorial director of STC Craft, which is an imprint of the book publisher Stewart, Tabori & Chang (STC), which is a division of Abrams Books. Our offices are in New York City but I work from home (about 11/2 hours away) a lot of the time. I took this photo of my desk at home long before I started this blog, when I was trying to figure out how to use my new digital camera, so it's a pretty typical example of what it looks like while I'm working. I try to clean it up at the end of each day.

My name is Liana Allday and I'm a senior editor at STC Craft. I’m an avid sewer and knitter (though I don’t shy away from anything that involves scissors, glue, or numbered steps). After a day of editing craft books, I sometimes feel so inspired that I simply have to embark on a new project the second that I get home. And after four years of working on the STC Craft list, well...the output has been prolific (which can be very handy during the holidays!).
