Quilt-Along with Kaffe Fassett
March 16, 2010

To celebrate the publication of Kaffe Fassett’s new book Simple Shapes Spectacular Quilts, STC Craft is kicking off a very special Quilt-Along on April 13th. This is your chance to show Kaffe what you’re doing and to get feedback from him and co-author Liza Prior Lucy. Here’s how to join:
First, pick your project. We’re offering a free pdf download of the Yellow Potpourri quilt from Simple Shapes Spectacular Quilts, but we encourage you to be creative. Work on another quilt featured in the book, or pick a project of your own inspired by shapes and colors in the world around you.
Next, join our SSSQ Quilt-Along with Kaffe Facebook group. Share your progress by uploading photos to the group album, and throughout the Quilt-Along, Kaffe and Liza will comment on images of your quilts.
For fresh inspiration and wisdom from Kaffe and Liza, visit our blog the first Tuesday of every month beginning in May. You can also download the SSSQ Quilt-Along with Kaffe badge to post on your Facebook profile, blog, or website.
Copy and paste the code below to add the badge to your blog or website:![]() |
The SSSQ Quilt-Along comes to a close on July 6, 2010. Upload a photo of your project to the Facebook album before then and be automatically entered in our SSSQ Quilt-Along Sweepstakes. The prize? A signed copy of Simple Shapes Spectacular Quilts, plus a Rowan Fabric gift package.

Hi, I am quilting along with you - making diagonal madness for my mum and just wanted to check that it is OK to show a picture of that fabulous quilt on my blog. I want to start the story with the original and finished it, once the quilt is finished, with my version. My blog is listed above. Let me know if I am breaching copyright and need to remove the photo and I will do so immediately. I also have a question for Kaffe if possible. In Diagonal Madness there is a yellow fabric and my Mum is not keen on yellow and we wondered if we could have suggestions for a replacement for that fabric. Thank you very much. Lynne
